Steve

Steve earned a Master of Arts from the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming. He is currently a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC).  He is also working toward becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).  His training at UNC equipped him to work with families and all of their parts. As part of the IOME team, he specializes in providing preventative care, and solution-focused, brief therapeutic assistance. 

One of his favorite things to do is to facilitate healing and personal growth with people and groups. He loves to empower people to help them be their best authentic self.  Sometimes we experience barriers that keep us from being the person that we want to be. Stress, depression, anxiety, past trauma, and difficulty in close relationships can stop us in our tracks. If you are like a car stuck in the mud, I would love to help you.  I want to step into “the mess”, and help you to get your car moving along. Maybe the mud is deep and you feel it’s impossible to move again, or maybe it’s a small mud puddle and you just need a little assistance to move forward. Either way, I am here to help you navigate what has you stuck. I want to step alongside you, and navigate these challenges together.
