This game. Krista is a true believer in speaking your mind. She loves meeting someone where they are at in their life. Not ready to take action but need a safe space to vent? Need to brainstorm on future goals and paths? Ready to start making changes immediately? Whatever your needs may be, Krista’s door is open. Krista recognizes the courage it takes to simply walk through the door and values a reciprocal professional relationship. She does her best to support people in the mind-body connection and isn’t afraid to join people in practicing grounding methods while in session. Employing a person-centered approach, Krista tailors her sessions to the needs to each individual by pulling from various therapeutic methods, such as CBT & REBT, existential therapy, Gestalt therapy, social constructivism, horticultural therapy, bibliotherapy, and music therapy. 

Krista is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with the state of Colorado and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She earned her Bachelor of Science at Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville majoring in Psychology and minoring in Philosophy and Biology. Krista then went on to earn her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University while academically focusing on veterans, college students, and alternative treatment methods in counseling. Her professional focus has been on adults, couples, and families as part of partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and medication-assisted therapies. In addition to helping persons diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Krista has specialized in substance use issues and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
