IV vitamin therapy is the administration of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, and other essential micronutrients via intravenous infusion or intramuscular injection. IV therapy allows the nutrients to bypass the need for gastrointestinal absorption which increases the bioavailability of the nutrient for the cells to use. (In other words, the vitamins are more readily available in our bodies because they aren’t being broken down within the GI tract).

The average American diet does not allow for proper gut health and therefore doesn’t allow for proper nutrient digestion and absorption. Giving vitamins via the intravenous route allows us to skip that process and use most of what we are receiving.
